Student employment applications are currently being accepted at many University departments for summer and fall 2017. Some departments may have spring 2017 positions available as well. Each department recruits and hires students based upon their needs. Working on campus can provide a convenient way for students to advance their professional skills, gain experience and become more involved in their campus community while earning money. 

Below are some of the positions that are currently accepting applications. To apply with each department, please follow the instructions provided.

 

Office of Residential Student Services
The Office of Residential Student Services is the unit within the Division of Student Affairs that is responsible for on-campus housing and the resident students’ welfare while residing on campus. The Office of Residential Student Services is currently accepting applications and hiring dedicated and motivated individuals to live and work in our campus community during the summer months in the following undergraduate student employee positions:

  • Summer Assistant (Management Opportunities Available)
  • Desk Service Representative (Management Opportunities Available)

Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs (AToD) Task Force
Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct

The Peer Education Coordinator is a part-time, paraprofessional position within the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct in effect for a full academic year.  The Peer Education Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the administration of Community Standards and Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drug (AToD) programs and activities. The Peer Education Coordinator works under the supervision of the chair of the AToD Task Force and is responsible for providing harm reduction information to the campus population serving as positive health and lifestyle coordinators.

Please note that the Peer Education Coordinator position is only open to Kean University undergraduate students with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA. Additional positions requirements can be found within the application.

The Center for Leadership and Service is committed to providing opportunities for leadership development training, community service involvement, service learning, campus organizational development and serves as a connection point for participation in volunteer activities. Units within the Center include the Kean Leadership Institute, community and volunteer services, Greek life, the Involvement Center and student group development, The Cougar’s Byte student newsletter and the Co-Curricular Transcript (CCT) program. Transfer Transitions Program
School of General Studies
The Transfer Transitions Program is looking for student leaders to co-teach with a faculty member in our GE 3000 Transfer Transitions course. Transfer Instructional Mentors (TIMs) provide general support for their group of students throughout their first academic year at Kean University.

Please note that these positions are only open to Kean University undergraduate transfer students with at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA. Candidates must have an interest for working as a teaching-team member with faculty instructor(s) and have knowledge of campus resources and understanding of KeanWISE. Successful candidates must be free of any academic or disciplinary sanctions (i.e. Student Code of Conduct, Academic Integrity Policy Violations, etc...)  Additional positions requirements can be found within the application.
